Inspite of the De-Icer Elephant^® Beta/Beta-15’s considerable capacity (tank size up to 12000 litres), it handles quite easily in airport environments. With one-man operation, there is a good visibility for the operator, who doubles as driver, allowing swift and safe repositioning of de-icing unit/nozzle, as required. And because of no need for external stabilizers, and the simultaneous movement of main boom and telescopic boom, the nozzle can be lifted to that height (corresponds to the highest point on the Airbus A380 aircraft) within 30 seconds. No other de-icer on the market can match that (as per 2009).
